Rice krispy nests

This is probably my simplest and quickest recipe ever but that's why I love it so much. These little cakes only take about 15 minutes in total so they're the perfect thing if you have to host a last minute tea for some friends. Although they look wonderfully childish, they tend to go down just as well with adults. I've topped my nests with chocolate eggs for the easter season and I think they look just as fabulous as they taste!

Ingredients - (makes around 16)

20g butter

3 tbsp golden syrup

100g milk/dark chocolate

100g rice krispies

Method

1. Melt the butter in a pan over a low heat and add the golden syrup.

2. Break the chocolate into chunks and add it to the pan.

3. Once completely melted remove the pan from the heat and add the rice krispies.

4. Spoon the mixture into paper cases, top with a chocolate egg and cool in the fridge until needed!
