Strawberry ice cream

Summer is finally on its way so I'm celebrating with a fruity ice cream creation. You may or may not have heard of the trendy, dairy free 'nice cream' recipes but either way, it's time to get out your blenders and whizz up some magic. The basic idea is to blend frozen bananas into an ice cream - like texture and then add whatever you may desire. In this recipe I've added strawberries but to be honest, anything goes...

Ingredients

2 frozen bananas (chopped before freezing)

A handful of fresh strawberries

A dash of vanilla extract

Method

1. Put all of the ingredients into a blender and mix until combined. This may take up to a few minutes.

2. Empty into a bowl and top with fresh strawberries.
