Ooooh here goes, the most yummy, scummy, gooey recipe everrrr! I admit it, I'm a huge fan of a good old flapjack. You really can't beat them, can you? They're packed with oats (that makes them healthy right...?), they're incredible sturdy so great for picnics, expeditions and outings and they're unbelievably delish.

Ingredients

200g soft light brown sugar

150ml golden syrup

400g porridge oats 125g dried fruit (raisins/figs/cranberries)

50g desiccated coconut

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180C/160 Fan.

2. Line a 23cm square cake tin.

3. Put the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a large saucepan until melted.

4. Add the oats, dried fruit and coconut then mix well. 5. Transfer the mix to a tin the bake for 25 mins until slightly golden. 6. Leave to cool before cutting into squares!
